Global accounting body partners with GDPR specialists
The Data Support Agency is delighted to announce our partnership with the Association of International Accountants (AIA), a global membership body for professional accountants that promotes the concept of international accounting.
The AIA has created a global network of world class accountants by offering innovative qualifications alongside first-class, tailored services for its members around the world. It is a recognised qualifying body for statutory auditors in the UK and an awarding body recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
The AIA works in the public interest to ensure its members are regulated for the work that they carry out. It is also committed to ensuring its members have tools that save them time and money.
Its partnership with The Data Support Agency means it will be able to achieve both aims – simultaneously helping its members to implement best practice around their own data compliance and ultimately ensuring their clients can know their own data is being well maintained.
Sharon Gorman, Director of Development at the AIA said, “We have no doubt that the GDPR compliance offering provided by The Data Support Agency will be a significant aid to any of our members.”
“As a regulated profession with codes of ethics AIA firmly back the ICO’s expectation that accountants adopt higher standards than the general public, so we are committed to providing our members with cost-effective solutions in order to achieve this goal.”
Nicola Hartland, CEO at The Data Support Agency, says, “This is another apt strategic partnership for us. We are well aware of the excellent work of the AIA in helping to maintain the quality of a profession where diligence and rigour are watchwords, and we are delighted to be working with them”.
